Welcome to the new and improved AQS newsletter!

Yes, we took the winter off, and then some.— A great part of the improvement to our newsletter is the fact that it will now be posted on our new website www.aqsirrigation.com.

Also, on the website, we will keep you posted on all things AQS including special sales, new products, and expanded services like our new online ordering system. (more on that in the following sections)

New people are now employed at AQS and will be contributing to this newsletter at each edition. They will include Paula, Kevin, and Tyler.  Bryan, from last year, has signed on again for a few months and will keep us updated on martial arts matters as well as sprinkler insights. Tammy, “the water wizard” and Larry, the former Saturday guy will also still be contributing from time to time as guests of the website.

We have fun publishing this little deal each month and look forward to communicating with you on a regular basis. If you would like to share a sprinkler related experience or story with our readers please submit a draft to [email protected] or [email protected] .

I am learning a lot from Darrell. It is so important to make a good plan in advance of starting your irrigation system.  Come on in, we have the supplies you need.  I look forward to serving all of our customers here at AQS.  We are all learning from Darrell’s many years of experience with Sprinklers and Irrigation.

Hands on by Kevin, 8/1/18

After a long day digging and installing sprinkler heads and fittings I learned so much about Irrigation and how to actually install the sprinklers. It was an experience that I would have never learned just working at the shop at AQS. Getting the hands on experience is what actually helped me and as a worker here at AQS. From digging to trenching the dirt, to putting everything in the ground I had an overall great time working and learning what parts we sell and work with on a daily basis. One thing that I really had to pay attention to was underground wiring and how to be careful when digging. Try paying attention every time you’re digging because if the wire gets damage it all has to be pulled out and re-done. That means more time for you and more time the customer has to wait. I also learned to plan everything you want to do:  make lists, make drawings, take measurements, get advice from Darrell at AQS, what parts will you need, or what tools you will be using. Always be prepared and ready to dive into the action. Would I do it again? Of course, because learning and getting the hands on experience is something that will make me more successful here at AQS Irrigation Supply.
